Backup and resource problems
A full disk, low memory and failed backups need separate checks. Verify the resource and what must be kept before cleaning or restarting.
Open the dashboard → Host Operations → Host Resources. Use Mate Settings health cards for one mate’s figures.
Disk nearly full
- Check that Storage is current. For an old snapshot, restore data access first.
- Read removable images and cache under Host maintenance tools. Cleanup invalidates all mates’ local version backups. Keep them if rollback is still needed.
- If that impact is acceptable, follow Free up space, then check storage again.
- If pressure remains or nothing can be cleaned, compare mates’ disk use. Before organising work data, export and check it, define the permitted scope and ask support or your mate for help.
Keep unfamiliar host data, memory and backups in place until their purpose is clear. Program-cache cleanup cannot resolve every storage problem.
Memory nearly full
This is RAM, separate from disk storage and remembered information. Free Up Space does not release active RAM.
- Check for a large active task. Let a short peak settle after it finishes.
- Compare mate cards to find sustained use. Save progress and stop unnecessary work.
- For continuing disruption, follow Mate controls to restart that mate. Her work will be interrupted.
- For host-wide pressure or a rapid return, send support the readings and time. Investigate before restarting the whole host.
Backups stopped
Today may show that a mate’s backup is overdue or has never completed. Check the backup page.
- Open Mate Settings → select the mate → State Backups. Confirm that the list loaded and check the latest success time.
- Check that she is running and the host has storage available, then create one state backup.
- After Backup done and a new list entry, reload Today to check the updated notice.
- If the manual backup fails, stop repeated attempts and contact support with the latest success time, error and resource figures.
State backups exclude memory, notes and general work files. For export, version rollback or host restore-point problems, use the backup comparison to identify the tool first.
What to send support
Contact support with the host domain, mate, time, CPU/RAM/disk use, backup type and exact error. Redact logs and screenshots; do not attach a full backup.
