Check host status: CPU, RAM, storage and time

Host Resources shows CPU, memory and storage use for the whole VPS. Check the values and how long they stay high before taking action.

Open the management dashboard → Host Operations → Host Resources. For one mate’s limits and usage, see Mate health cards.

Three resource charts

ChartMeaningNext step
CPU UsageCPU load for the whole host. Large jobs can cause short peaks. If it stays high and slows work, compare mates and check logs.
Memory UsageHost RAM used by mates and other services. For sustained pressure, see Backup and resource problems. Disk cleanup does not free this RAM.
StorageDisk use with up to 7 days of history. A new host may have fewer recorded days.Check needed data and version backups before choosing cleanup.

Collecting data or a dash means no reading is available yet. A lost connection may leave an old snapshot visible; see Dashboard access and data problems.

What is CPU steal?

CPU steal measures time your VPS waits while the physical host allocates CPU to other VPS instances. It differs from your own workload.

Observe a short peak to see whether it recovers. If it remains high and affects speed, contact support with the time, percentage and symptoms so the provider’s resource conditions can be checked.

System details

System Details includes IPv4, the operating system, system time, processor and memory. System time uses the host’s time zone. Schedules and automatic 05:30 backups follow that zone, which may differ from your phone’s local time.

For unexpected schedule times, check Schedules first.

Notices at the top

  • A busy-host notice: let current work finish, then check response and resources again.
  • Repeated external-network failures: use Message and notification problems and contact support if they continue.
  • Updates waiting for a restart: choose a time when every mate can go offline, then follow Host maintenance.
