Connect messaging apps: support and connection status
Telegram and WhatsApp let you chat with mates from your phone. Each mate connects separately. LINE is not currently supported; other platforms depend on native settings and version support.
Where to go
Open Mate Settings → choose the mate → Messaging. Settings belong to this mate.
| Platform | Available path |
|---|---|
| Telegram | Create a bot, paste its token and approve your account in the dashboard. Guide. |
| Hermes mates use terminal setup and phone pairing. For OpenClaw, ask support first. Guide. | |
| LINE | Currently unsupported. Use Telegram, WhatsApp or dashboard chat. A visible card is not evidence of support. |
| Discord, Slack, Signal, Microsoft Teams and others | This page shows available status. Use the mate’s native UI for setup, subject to platform and version requirements. Advanced tools. |
There is no supported LINE setup path or promised support date.
Four connection states
| Status | Meaning and action |
|---|---|
| Not set up | Check support, then use the platform guide. |
| Saved, not applied yet | Settings are saved but not connected. Wait a minute or two and follow the result. |
| Connected | Send a new message to check account access and the model’s reply. |
| Connection error | Expand Original message and use Message problems. |
Telegram also provides token buttons and pairing lists. WhatsApp setup uses its own terminal flow.
Other platforms
Expand Other messaging apps. For native settings, open Mate Settings → choose the mate → Hermes UI or OpenClaw UI. Read the advanced-use notice first. Check the intended change and platform requirements before editing.
Unavailable data
An unavailable-settings notice means a fetch failed. A stale notice means the displayed status may be outdated. Wait for a retry, then see Dashboard data problems if needed.
For unsupported versions, check Versions or contact support.
