v0.21.3 (v2026.9.14) — Patch release

Released: September 14, 2026 Theme: A patch release, mainly for remote desktop and Cloud sign-in

It rolls up about 338 merged PRs since v0.21.2. The official notes describe only the two items below in detail. The full notes ship with v0.22.0.

Highlights

  • Remote sign-in no longer expires unexpectedly: when the desktop app refreshed its credentials several times in a burst, the whole session could be revoked. Concurrent refreshes with the same credential are now merged, and a slow identity provider no longer freezes /api/status.
  • No duplicate state.db writers: long-lived processes (gateway, desktop backend, ACP, CLI) open the database read-only, and in-process writers share one connection.
  • Also mentioned in the official notes without detail: reasoning-effort selection on every model picker, OpenRouter sign-in (OAuth PKCE), HEIF/HEIC/AVIF image decoding, MCP refresh tokens bound to their issuer, and new image and video models.
